I wanted him to share a little bit of his journey so you can know that it's never too late to change, too silly to dream, or too hopeless to try!
Me: How did you you feel before DBC?
Brayan: Honestly before Destination Boot Camp, I thought I was happy, but the truth was that I wasn't. I was very lazy and it was affecting everything and everyone around me.
Me: What was the moment when you actually realized you were transforming?
Brayan: The moment that I felt I was transforming was when I ran my first 5k. It was exactly one month after Destination Boot Camp. I took the picture after the race and compared it to an older pic that I taken before DBC and immediately saw transformation after just four weeks.
Me: How do you feel now?
Brayan: Now I feel so different. I smile a lot more, I don't get tired as quickly as I did before, I don't have constant back pain, and I'm doing better in school. I'm more productive in many ways now!
Before and After
Me: What are you most proud of with
your transformation journey?
Brayan: What I'm most proud of now
is my lifestyle. You can actually see that I live differently now, and I mean
that literally because having lost 111 pounds of so far it's just an amazing
feeling every day. I enjoy each day a lot more now.
What I'm also thankful that I was given
an early second chance to reshape my life the way it should be. Before I could
only walk while exercised and now I think I'm becoming a runner and I love it!
I can now run for long periods of time without stopping whereas before I would
be lucky to make it 30 seconds without stopping. I also love that now my body
keeps asking me for more exercise. I really like hiking and I find it to be
more relaxing than other exercising. When I'm hiking up a mountain I remember how
I got to where I am now, thinking about my first week at DBC. It was well
worth it and I wouldn't change it for the world.
I hope my journey can encourage those
who are now attending DBC or are searching for a reason to change or an extra
push. Sometimes you just need one story to give you that motivation and
hopefully this inspires others. The one thing that always sticks with me is
#RememberYourWhy
Great story Brayan...very motivating... And thank you for sharing your story with us. I would love to do DBC but I simply can not afford it.
